Authorities were conducting a "complete search on and around UVA grounds at this time," UVA police stated at 5:50 a.m. on Monday

Christopher Darnell Jones Jr., a student, was named as the suspect by the university. The victims were not immediately recognized

Monday's classes were cancelled. Schools in the Albemarle County School District and Charlottesville City Schools were closed down

In a tweet, university police stated that Jones was wanted "regarding the shooting incident"

According to the police, the suspect was sporting a burgundy sweatshirt or jacket, blue jeans, and red sneakers

On Sunday night, at around 10:30 p.m., the police were alerted to allegations of gunfire on campus at a garage on Culbreth Road
